Mark and Stuart present a feast of top tunes, plus Slade frontman Noddy Holder shares his ‘First, Last and Everything’ and chats about the reissue of the 1975 film 'Slade in Flame'

Mark and Stuart present a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast

Today they are joined by glam rock legend Noddy Holder. The vocalist, guitarist and frontman of Slade shares his ‘First, Last and Everything’ - that’s his first record, the most recent one he's enjoyed and the record that means ‘everything’ to him. Noddy also discusses the 50th anniversary reissue of the band's film 'Slade in Flame.'

Described as ‘the Citizen Kane of British pop movies’ by film critic Mark Kermode, the film was released at the height of Slade's glam rock fame and followed a string of UK number 1 hit singles including 'Coz I Luv You', 'Cum On Feel the Noize' and 'Merry Xmas Everybody.' The band starred in the film as a fictitious group experiencing a rise and fall. Noddy tells Mark and Stuart more about filming and performing with Slade, as well as sharing some of his music memories.

Also on the show... long-running feature ‘The Chain’ which gives listeners the chance to pick a track that links in some way to the last. The list now contains over 8000 songs.

With a selection of music old and new to get the weekend started.
