Arguably one of the biggest guitar heroes of his generation, North Shields singer-songwriter Sam Fender headlines Saturday night at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool. He’s had an incredible 2025 so far, releasing his third album, People Watching, in February, which like his first two also reached number one.

He arrives at Sefton Park with his much-lauded band ahead of a summer of live outings, including three sold-out shows at his beloved St James’ Park in Newcastle.
