Botanic Gardens, Belfast 3
The roadshow goes to Belfast’s Botanic Gardens, where Fiona Bruce explores its history. Treasures include early poetry by Seamus Heaney and an item that made motorcycling history.
The show is in Northern Ireland at Belfast’s Botanic Gardens, where Fiona Bruce finds out about the history of this green oasis in the heart of the capital city. Roadshow treasures include some early poetry by the great Seamus Heaney and an old metal frame that made motorcycling history and was discovered under some pig manure.
Ronnie Archer Morgan is delighted to spot the detail on one of his favourite Black Forest sculptures - a wooden bear with an artistic streak - and Marc Allum is thrilled by a speck of dust that is quite literally out of this world.
Gordon Foster comes across a medal given to an Edwardian plumber on royal duty, and Steven Moore puts on an impromptu performance, startling roadshow visitors with his skill on the ocarina.
