Foals, Food and Forests
Discover efforts to restore rare lichens in Pembrokeshire’s Cwm Gwaun, sample local produce on the Vale Food Trail, and visit Glebedale Stud near Abergavenny during foaling season.
Join Ifan Jones Evans this week as we hear how conservationists in Pembrokeshire’s Cwm Gwaun are working to restore delicate lichen species such as tree lungwort in one of Wales’s last remaining Celtic rainforests. We also follow the Vale Food Trail in the Vale of Glamorgan, a ten-day celebration of sustainable food that supports local producers and connects communities through taste and tradition. Finally, we visit Glebedale Welsh Pony Stud near Abergavenny during the height of foaling season to learn about the history of the stud and the care that goes into raising the next generation of Welsh ponies.
