‘Round Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This weekday late-night show celebrates the thriving UK jazz scene and spotlights the best new music alongside incredible acts from past decades.
This Friday night, Soweto’s special guest is the Grammy Award-winning, and world-renowned double bassist, Ron Carter. He is also a prominent bandleader, with a vast catalogue of solo albums.
Within their conversation, Soweto and Ron Carter discuss everything from Mr. Carter’s time working with Miles Davis and being part of Miles' seminal “Second Great Quintet”, his thoughts on the hip hop scene, and his lasting love for the music which he continues to share with audiences around the world, aged 88.
Settle in for an illuminating and inspiring conversation with one of jazz and music’s formidable artists.
