Live from the New York Met, conducted by Keri-Lynn Wilson and starring Sonya Yoncheva as Lisa and Arsen Soghomonyan as Hermann, the gambling addict army officer who falls for her. Their fatal affair, Hermann's destructive obsession and the tragedies of Lisa's abandoned fiancé Prince Yeletsky and her grandmother the Countess inspire some of Tchaikovsky's most profound and disturbing music.
