Sally Magnusson's Faith Journey
Sean Fletcher meets broadcaster, writer and former Songs of Praise presenter Sally Magnusson in the beautiful Scottish countryside to reflect on her faith and favourite hymns.
Sean Fletcher travels to Scotland to meet journalist, writer and former Songs of Praise presenter Sally Magnusson. Sally and Sean take a walk in rural Dunbartonshire as she reflects on her remarkable career, family life with five children and how people, places and pieces of music have shaped her faith.
Sally takes Sean to Baldernock Parish Church, a place very close to her heart, where she recalls memories of happy family celebrations and times of loss and deep sadness.
Back in the countryside, Sally reflects on her mother’s final years living with dementia and the charity work she has done to improve the lives of those currently living with the condition.
With favourite hymns chosen by Sally from across Scotland and beyond:
1. Be Thou My Vision – Charlotte Chapel, Edinburgh
2. Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer – Westminster Abbey, London
3. I To the Hills Will Lift Mine Eyes – Glasgow Cathedral
4. Lead Kindly Light – Aled Jones
5. We Cannot Measure How You Heal – Canongate Kirk, Edinburgh
6. The Lord’s My Shepherd – Crathie Kirk, Ballater
