Gary sits in for Vernon all this week and invites rock idol Billy Idol to pick his Tracks Of My Years.

First coming to public attention as the frontman of punk band Generation X, Billy became one of MTV's original megastars when he set off on his solo path with songs like White Wedding, Rebel Yell and Mony Mony.

Still performing all over the world fifty years into his career, in 2025 Billy has released 'Dream Into It', his first full-length album of new music in over a decade. And this month saw the premiere of the new documentary film 'Billy Idol Should Be Dead' at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Gary will also have more music history in 'De Ja Woo'; quizzing in Ten To The Top and plays from the Record and Album Of The Week.
