Join Jamie MacDougall for the grand final of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Scotland’s Young Classical Musician 2025, broadcast live from Glasgow's City Halls. Prepare to be inspired as three of Scotland’s talented young instrumentalists perform alongside the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Scottish Symphony Orchestra with conductor Andrew Gourlay.

Our finalists are;
Violinist Emma Baird, performing Shostakovich’s powerful First Violin Concerto (3rd & 4th Movement).
Ziheng Huang performs Glazunov’s lyrical ‘Concerto for Alto Saxophone’.
Sofia Ros channels the soul-stirring magic of Piazzolla’s 'Aconcagua'. concerto for Bandoneón.

Plus, before the judges announce the winner, let the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ SSO sweep you away with the lush sounds of Tchaikovsky’s Shakespearean fantasy overture: Romeo and Juliet.
