Tom Service with guests, stories and the perfect classical soundtrack to start the weekend!
Will Pound (harmonica and melodeon) and Delia Stevens (multi-instrumentalist) join Tom live in the studio with their reimaginings of Holst's The Planets and to bring Saturday Morning vibes ahead of their appearances at Fishguard International Festival, Warwick Folk Festival and Folk East Festival in Suffolk.
Pianist and Neuro-researcher Nicolas Namoradze shows Tom the insides of his Glass Brain - no, really - Nicolas links up his brain to a screen for the first ever concert where the audience can see what playing the piano fires in his brain - the results are mesmerising explosions of colour. Nicolas Namoradze's groundbreaking concert premieres at Verbier Festival in Switzerland and you can watch it on Medici TV.
Plus the continuation of ѿý Radio 3’s 25 for 25: Sounds of the Century – Norwegian composer, improviser and rock guitarist Øyvind Torvund marks generative A.I’s breakthrough year 2023 in his new work for the ѿý Symphony Orchestra.
