In this episode, Katie Derham visits the Lost Gardens of Heligan to discover the fascinating story of the gardeners who tended them, their loss in the First World War, and how the gardens were brought back to glory.
Alasdair Moore, Heligan's Head of Gardens, shows Katie around, reflecting on how they keep traditions alive, and why the people really are the centre of this story about gardening.
She also meets Cornish musician Merv Davey, who has uncovered stories of music that was also lost and found. What does this music say about Cornwall, and what really makes music Cornish anyway?
