Jordan Gray chats her new sitcom Transaction, Folk singer Peggy Seeger tells us what inspires her, and comedian Tiff Stevenson shares her Spiritual LIfe.
This week new ITV sitcom Transaction hit our screens. It’s created by comedian Jordan Gray, and she stars as an egotistical trans supermarket worker, alongside shop manager Nick Frost. Jordan shares why she’s loved creating a messy and unlikeable trans character, and how she has navigated the many death threats she’s received throughout her time in the public eye.
For decades, the Iona Community have found a home at Glastonbury Festival, providing quiet respite amid the chaos. This year Jo Love of the Wild Goose Resource Group is there for the first time, and catches up with Zara about her favourite memoires of the past few days, and why her faith is complimented by a love of music.
And folk singer Peggy Seeger has been inspiring generations with her music and activism, and in this conversation she shares the place that inspires her –  the Scottish Mountains.
Zara’s This Spiritual Life guest this week is comedian Tiff Stevenson. She shares how faith has shaped her family through the generations, from her Presbyterian minister grandfather to her spiritualist healer Aunty.
Zara’s Faith Forum panellists this week are Eve Poole, Bryan Kerr and Martin Palmer.
Together they look at the ongoing situation with Iran and Israel through the lens of pride and arrogance, discussing how these two traits shape narrative and decisions, and what role faith plays in that moral compass.
They also discuss the controversial DNA project to create the building blocks of human life from scratch, and what would happen if one image from deep space could change how we see everything.
Plus, following Irish hip-hop trio Kneecap’s controversial Glastonbury performance the night before, our panel reflect on how we shape the world with our speech.
