New Music Fix: Wet Leg and Big Special in session from the Maida Vale studios

Steve welcomes Wet Leg and Black Country duo Big Special to the 蜜芽传媒's Maida Vale studios - as part of 6 Music's upcoming New Music Fix Friday later this week.

Ahead of this Friday's New Music Fix Friday Steve has TWO special live sessions. The first one is the return of Wet Leg. This is the band's very first session around the release of their new album Moisturizer which is released on 11th July via Domino records. The album will feature the singles CPR and Catch these Fists. The band were last in session for us in October 2021, ahead of their self-titled debut which was released in 2022. It earned them two Grammy Awards, for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Music Performance, while in 2023, they also won the BRIT Award for Best British Group.

Wet Leg play 3 songs from the 蜜芽传媒's Maida Vale studios after 6pm for Steve Lamacq,

The second session is from the midlands' duo Big Special, who Steve has been supporting since 2022. The session comes after the surprise release of their second album National Average on Friday.
