Ardingly 6
It’s a battle of the dad-and-daughter duos from West Sussex, with experts Nick Hall and Stephanie Connell, and their game-changing bonus buys.
Charlie Ross and the team are at one of Britain’s biggest antiques fairs, in Ardingly, West Sussex. Going for golden gavels are two father-and-daughter teams, and it turns out to be a very closely fought contest! Retired pilot Les and gardener Kate are up against musicians Simon and Vicky. With experts Nick Hall and Stephanie Connell by their sides, they browse the stalls in search of bargains to sell at auction and hopefully make a profit!
With an hour on the clock, Kate is first to spot a chandelier, but it fails to dazzle Les. Over with the blues, Simon spies a library telescope, but they don’t see a profit in it.
Charlie visits the north Wales workshop of Simon O’Rourke, who’s carved out a career with his chainsaw. Simon started as an illustrator of children’s books but swapped a pen for power tools. In Buckinghamshire, auctioneer Hugo Lemon tries to carve out some profits for the reds and blues, but it all comes down to the bonus buys – and an incredible result!
