The Three Rivers Festival of chamber music and the exhibition Everything Flows: Music in North Lanarkshire
Len Pennie is joined by festival director Catherine Duncan and curator Rosie Shackleton. They discuss the Three Rivers Festival in Stirling and a new Coatbridge exhibition.
A new exhibition exploring the North Lanarkshire music scene from the 1970s to 2000s has just opened in Coatbridge. Everything Flows celebrates acts from BMX Bandits to Teenage Fanclub, featuring oral histories with some of the featured musicians. Curator Rosie Shackleton tells Len all about it.
The Three Rivers Festival of chamber music is Stirling’s newest cultural event and will take place in venues in and around the Forth, the Teith and the Allan rivers this weekend. It’s the realisation of a long-held dream of Dunblane pianist and now festival artistic director and founder Catherine Duncan, currently finishing her musical studies at Guildhall School of Music in London. Catherine joins Len to tell her more.
