Tom McKinney presents Radio 3’s Breakfast show live from Salford, including ѿý Radio 3’s 25 for 25: Sounds of the Century – a series of brand new commissions celebrating and commemorating some of the biggest events of the 21st century so far. This week, in a new work for the ѿý Philharmonic British-Armenian composer Kristina Arakelyan celebrates ‘the year of the aurora’, with the Northern Lights being visible unusually far south more often in 2024 than in any other year of the century so far.
