Celebrating 10 yrs since the release of this seminal album with music from 2015 all day, plus hear Currents in full throughout the day alongside voicenotes from those it inspired.

Celebrating ten years since the release of this seminal album with music from 2015 all day, plus hear Currents in full throughout the day alongside voicenotes from those it inspired.

Lauren delves into the 6 Music archive to revisit some sessions and interviews from her old mid-morning show in 2015. Plus there's a Beauty Spot in the most proportionally pleasing part of the show.

Plus Jane Weaver breaks down the elements of Currents that she particularly admires, and remembers a memorable Tame Impala performance at Primavera.

Released on in July 2015, Tame Impala’s third album Currents went on to dominate all the end of year lists, and became a mainstay on the radio and festival sound systems all through that summer, and beyond.

To celebrate its tenth birthday, alongside playing a huge range of music from that year, we’ve dug out some classic Kevin Parker interviews from the archive, plus you’ll hear from his contemporaries, collaborators and fans, revealing why they think he’s such a genius, and what it is about the album that made it so special. With Mark Ronson, Pond, Jane Weaver, Finn Wolfhard, Antony Szmierek, Shura, plus more.

Head to ѿý Sounds to catch up with everything from the day, as well as to listen to a special programme that brings together the album and all the voicenotes together in one handy listen. Just search Tame Impala in Sounds.
