Today, Sarah has sumptuous orchestral music including a piano concerto by Ravel, the iconic opening movement of Beethoven鈥檚 Eroica Symphony, and a symphonic poem by Liszt that is rumoured to have been Wagner鈥檚 personal favourite.

There鈥檚 also a Bach prelude with an entirely new melody composed on top, a choral piece by Roxanna Panufnik that combines timeless plainsong with lilting repetition, and a burst of Mediterranean sunshine in a rhapsody by Emmanuel Chabrier.

And for this week鈥檚 Choral Reflection, Sarah鈥檚 choice is Sir James MacMillan鈥檚 The Gallant Weaver, a setting of a love poem by Robert Burns that conjures the sounds of Scotland.
