ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Weather icon Carol Kirkwood picks another two songs for this week's Tracks Of My Years.
Originally joining the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ as a secretary in the 80s, she switched to a career in recruitment before then working as a management consultant. Following that, Carol spent some time in cable TV, where she worked with the then-unknown Sacha Baron Cohen.
Re-joining the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ in the early 90s as a freelance presenter, in 1998 Carol joined ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ News as a full-time weather presenter and has been arguably our favourite meteorologist ever since.
In 2015, Carol stepped away from the weather map and on to the dance floor when she participated in Strictly Come Dancing, finishing in 10th place.
And four years ago, Carol added another string to her bow when she released her debut novel Under a Greek Moon, and she now has multiple bestsellers to her name, including The Hotel on the Riviera and Secrets of the Villa Amore.
Her latest book is 'Meet Me At Sunset', which Carol has teased by saying "lies, seduction and secrets all await under a Spanish sun".
Gary will also have more music history in 'De Ja Woo'; quizzing in Ten To The Top and plays from the Record and Album Of The Week.
