Praised by the The New York Times for his 鈥榚xquisite tone and virtuosity鈥�, American violinist Randall Goosby makes his Proms debut in pioneering 18th-century composer Joseph Bologne鈥檚 graceful Violin Concerto in G major, Op. 8, and Chausson鈥檚 Po猫me, a passionate musical love letter. Cristian M膬celaru conducts the Orchestre National de France in a French-themed programme, including two orchestral masterpieces by Ravel 鈥� the colourful Rapsodie espagnole and the haunting ghost-waltz La valse 鈥� as well as Charlotte Sohy鈥檚 rhapsodic Danse mystique.
