Bev Bevan explores the origins of heavy metal music. The West Midlands is the birthplace of Heavy Metal.
In the late 60s, four young guys from Birmingham - Terence "Geezer" Butler, Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne and Bill Ward - began performing under the name 'Earth'.
They eventually found worldwide fame as ‘Black Sabbath’ and ended up creating a whole new genre of music.
And now 57 years later, they're returning to Birmingham for one final homecoming gig at Villa Park.
Founding member of ELO and once drummer for Black Sabbath, Bev Bevan, looks back at the origins of heavy metal music - The early years of Black Sabbath, the fashion, the hit singles Paranoid and War Pigs, the truth behind the wild stories and how the genre has evolved.
