"That's what you call a 'moving song!'"
Sean explains exactly what a 'moving song' is.
“This is a moving song,” says Sean. He’s talking about Joe Dolan singing Danny Boy. He explains: “This is a song that was a very popular song at the dances. It was one for the moment a fellow sees a girl, and he wants to leave her home. So a moving song was the song the fellows wanted to move on. And of course you were roaring, singing, into the girl’s ear. And then you had the audacity to ask the girl, 'Can I leave you home?' after blowing her eardrum away." With music from Wilson Pickett, The Bangles, the Bay City Rollers, and more (including one from Joe Dolan).
