Sinclair C5, Cavalry Coat, Henry Moore Maquette
Nigel Havers and Simon Bower road-test an 80s icon, a coat fit for royalty is up for sale, and one shocked seller receives a life-changing bid.
Nigel Havers and Simon Bower welcome John, with his vibrant trio of Sinclair C5s. His canine companion Ken isn’t so keen on them, so he’s looking to sell them for something a little more dog-friendly.
Thespian Alex is next through the doors, with a ride-on fairground dragon she picked up in a London antiques shop. The Rag & Bone Bros are keen to give it a try, but will they be willing to put their hands in their pockets?
The musical Ruda family have a host of sales tactics under their arms. As well as wooing the bidders with a song, they’ve brought some homemade brownies with them too. But will they be enough to sweeten the deal on their mid-century accordion?
Going for gold next is ex-Household Cavalry guard Charles, whose ceremonial jacket creates quite the bidding battle between Jacqui and Susie. The ladies may be ready to go to war for this museum-quality garment, but a certain Nigel Havers has his eyes on it too – well, it would make a rather fetching housecoat.
Last through the doors is Gill, with a small wax sculpture that she quickly confesses she doesn’t much care for. But that may all be about to change, as she’s shocked by Simon’s potential valuation, before one of our experts makes what is a record offer for the show.
