Atlas Stone, Antique Automaton, Coffin Bank

Episode 3 of 25

It’ll be guinea pigs for everyone if Georgia can help dad Callum shift his atlas stone. Peter’s antique automaton delights the dealers. And will anyone break the bank for a 70s toy?

First to join us is Emily from Kent, with an heirloom left to her by a glamorous member of the family with a background in the theatre. So it comes as no surprise when her mother’s bust has the dealers all aflutter.

Next to try to make a sale is toy collector Rob, who brings a smile to everyone’s face with his novelty horror-themed coin bank. Valuation expert Simon confesses to owning one in his younger days, but will nostalgia alone be enough to convince him to join the bidding?

As if that’s not enough excitement, Peter has a rare treat for all the antique lovers - a smoking Turk automaton. But our buyers will have to dig deep if they want to take this treasure home. Oh, and any resemblance to the Rag & Bone Bros is entirely co-incidental.

Number four through the doors of Leith Theatre is well-travelled Billie. She’s keen to find out if anyone will bend over backwards to bid on her folding Indian chair.

Lastly, it’s brains versus brawn as one of Scotland’s strongest men faces off against the wily dealers. But Callum has brought a secret weapon - his six-year-old daughter Georgia. Will her promise of a guinea pig for everyone if they shift dad’s atlas stone be enough to make Jo and the rest roll over?
