Episode 10
A risky procedure for lion Klaus takes a worrying turn, and Kate is introduced to the park’s largest tarantulas.
The keepers are deeply concerned about Klaus, one of the park’s most impressive lions. A stubborn paw injury has left him limping and reluctant to move. Fearing that the infection could worsen, the decision is made to sedate him for urgent treatment. But at nearly 18 years old, the procedure carries a serious risk, so the team must work fast to investigate the wound and bring him round.
In Wolf Wood, hopes are fading for a litter of pups. Breeding pair Terry and Meg have yet to produce cubs, so the keepers are doing all they can to encourage them to breed. Suddenly, they spot evidence of a potential new den site. Could this elusive duo have paired up already?
Meanwhile, Megan plays a game with Anne the elephant, Kate confronts her fear of spiders, and Hamza successfully captures footage of the white-backed vulture chick.
