Mark and Stuart present a feast of great music plus The Last Dinner Party's lead singer Abigail Morris shares her ‘First, Last and Everything’ and chats about the band's new music
Mark and Stuart present a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast.
Today they talk to lead singer of acclaimed indie band The Last Dinner Party, Abigail Morris, who shares her ‘First, Last and Everything’ - that’s her first record, the most recent one she's enjoyed and the record that means ‘everything’ to her. The Last Dinner Party - who won the rising star award at the Brit Awards last year and best new artist this year - released their debut album 'Prelude To Ecstasy' in February 2024. It went straight to number 1 in the UK album charts and was nominated for a Mercury Music Prize later that year. Singer and songwriter Abigail tells Mark and Stuart more about the band's latest music and forthcoming second album.
Also on the show... long-running feature ‘The Chain’ which gives listeners the chance to pick a track that links in some way to the last. The list now contains over 8000 songs.
With a selection of music old and new to get the weekend started, including tracks from The National, Wu-Tang Clan, Big Thief, Yazmin Lacey, Gil Scott-Heron and Bicep.
