Oscar Peterson at 100
Jamie celebrates the great pianist's centenary with the help of modern stars Joe Webb and Hiromi. There's archive of the man himself, and live music from a Proms set in tribute.
Jamie celebrates the centenary of Oscar Peterson - one of the most celebrated and influential jazz pianists of all time.
Friend of the show, Welsh piano star Joe Webb, performed a tribute to Oscar at the recent 'Round Midnight Prom in Sunderland - from it, we'll hear a composition dedicated to Oscar, as well as Joe's memories of dancing through Neath listening to the great man's music.
Japanese piano master Hiromi, who befriended and performed with Oscar before his death in 2007, gives her memories of him and chooses a personal favourite from his catalogue.
There's also an archive clip of the man himself, talking to Michael Parkinson in a 1973 interview.
Elsewhere on the show, Jamie also celebrates the great vocalist Sheila Jordan, who sadly passed away last week at the age of 96.
