鈥楻ound Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This weekday late-night show celebrates the thriving UK jazz scene and spotlights the best new music alongside incredible acts from past decades.

In this Friday night edition, Soweto is joined by Barbados-raised, London-based bassist and vocalist Isobella Burnham. After studying music in Barbados, Isobella further honed her sound playing at some of London鈥檚 leading jazz jams, and as part of Tomorrow鈥檚 Warriors. She is an in-demand session musician, performing and touring with the likes of Tom Misch, Jorja Smith, and Connie Constance. Isobella is also a rising bandleader, and has released a groove-infused debut EP titled Dancin鈥� Garuda and most recently a more introspective EP titled Foam Under The Bridge.

Tonight, ahead of the UK (bar Scotland) bank holiday weekend, and warming up for Notting Hill and Leeds carnivals, Isobella has curated a 30-minute mixtape of rhythm-filled and dance-inspiring sounds from some of the vast range of jazz musicians from the Caribbean diaspora.
