The Ayrshire builder had accepted more than 200 thousand pounds to complete home improvements.
Instead, he skipped out on jobs, ignored calls and left customers thousands out of pocket with half-built extensions and renovations.
This month, he was facing prosecution over an allegation he had defrauded a customer.
But the case was dropped when it emerged he'd paid the complainer back just before trial.
