Lauren brings a great selection of tunes to kick-start your weekend, plus from 12pm Jonnie Wilkes, one half of Glasgow duo Optimo, salutes his DJ partner of nearly 30 years Keith McIvor aka JD Twitch in the salutes mix.

The duo founded the legendary Glasgow night Optimo (Espacio) at the city's much loved Sub Club, a night that was well known for its sense of freedom and eclectic sounds. The night went on to build a strong reputation for its expansive music selections becoming one of Scotland's most popular club nights, and once the night ended the duo went on to DJ at festivals and gigs around the world for over 28 years.

In May this year Keith was diagnosed with an untreatable brain tumor, and to celebrate their decades long partnership, Jonnie is behind this edition of the Salutes mix centered around the joy of the DJ partnership they forged.

Jonnie will continue to DJ under the Optimo name, and details of forthcoming sets can be found online
