Narberth 6

Roo Irvine peers into perfectly made doll's houses created by a remarkable centenarian in the Pembrokeshire seaside town of Newport. In nearby Narberth, the race is on for the teams.

Roo Irvine opens the door on a remarkable collection of doll's houses spanning more than 150 years. In Newport, Pembrokeshire, she meets centenarian Val Ripley, who with her late sister Pam amassed some 40 houses, furnishing them with items bought with their pocket money or made from scratch. Val received her first doll's house as an eight-year-old in 1932 and now has examples from the style of the 1840s right up to the year 2000.

In nearby Narberth, two teams of shoppers scour the aisles of a huge antiques centre to find three bargains to sell at auction. In red are married couple Mej and Aly, guided by their expert, Welshman Richard Madley. On the blue team, it’s mum and daughter Ceri and Rhian, with their expert Izzie Balmer.

The reds are quick to add items to their back burner, but the buys are harder to come by. Meanwhile, the blues are on the case of something quirky and soon spot a vintage military trunk. All shopped up, the teams travel to Carmarthen in the hope that auctioneer Ian Taylor can hammer out some profits for them. Will either Richard or Izzie help to clinch a win with their bonus buys?
