Episode 19
Robin and Izzie discover transforming tables, pharmaceutical paraphernalia and secret symbols in a house full of collections in Sutton Coldfield.
Dawn's life changed drastically when her husband passed away in 2021. The family home in Sutton Coldfield, once filled with joy, now overwhelms her with memories. She wants to downsize and move closer to her daughter Helen, but the problem is that her house is packed to the rafters with her husband's extensive collections. Dawn has enlisted the expertise of auctioneer Izzie and restorer Robin, who'll help uncover the hidden treasures within.
With Dawn’s late husband being such an avid collector, Izzie has no problem finding items to sell, but sorting through it all is going to take some time. Izzie gets to grips with a drawer full of jewellery, cabinets packed with antique pharmaceutical items and the largest collection of Masonic regalia she has ever seen. Among the treasures, she finds rare pocket watches and a medical book that dates back to the 17th century.
Robin ventures into the loft and uncovers a worn collapsible card table crying out for restoration. He also breathes new life into a discarded child's desk and tackles a mysterious cabinet concealing a hidden surprise. His dedication to the craft knows no bounds as he attempts a tricky and time-consuming technique, even though the sun is setting.
Auction success will send Dawn on a dream trip to New Zealand for a big reunion. To make that happen, Izzie needs to ignite bidding fever around the impressive collection of Masonic relics and pharmaceutical antiquities.
