Sacred Expressions: The Arts in Worship
In this week-long series of Daily Services, different voices reflect on how the arts - music, painting, sculpture, and more - can deepen our spiritual lives.
In this week-long series of Daily Services, different voices reflect on how the arts - music, painting, sculpture, and more - can deepen our spiritual lives. Each day, a different piece of art will be introduced, with the speaker sharing how it has shaped their faith, inspired their ministry, or opened new understandings of the divine. Through scripture, story, and sacred art, they explore the ways God speaks to us not just in words, but in colour, sound, and form.
Today's service is led by Rev Richard Carter, who reflects on Sienese artist Duccio di Buoninsegna.
