Mind Over Muscle
Still carrying the weight of a brutal MMA loss, Rachel prepares for a kickboxing bout in Dublin. Can she rebuild her self-belief and prove she still belongs in the fight?
At Next Generation gym in Ballymena, fighters train with grit and ambition under head coach Rodney Moore, who’s determined to shape champions from everyday people. Rachel ‘The Diva’ McIlhagga is one of them. An amateur kickboxer still reeling from a devastating MMA defeat, she’s struggled with self-belief ever since. Now, she’s preparing for a kickboxing bout in Dublin – a chance to reset, rebuild and prove she still has what it takes.
Twenty-two-year-old Niamh McNeill is also a dedicated member of the gym, alongside her mum Julie. The two have trained side by side for nine years, and now they’re chasing a shared dream: to fight on the same card before Niamh leaves for a new life in Australia.
Meanwhile, Chloe Crozier is preparing for the biggest bout of her career – her first title fight. Winning a title is an essential step towards a professional fighting career, so Chloe must win to keep her dream of turning pro alive.
