Day 1, Part 3
The action on day 1 continues, including the finals of the men's shot put, the women's 10,000m and the mixed 4 x 400m relay.
Coverage continues of the first evening session of the 2025 World Athletics Championships as three gold medals are handed out.
Ethiopia’s Gudaf Tsegay is back to defend her 10,000m crown, and despite missing much of the season though injury, Ryan Crouser has confirmed he will be in Tokyo and aiming to win the men’s shot put for the third time in a row.
Mondo Duplantis, who has already broken the world pole vault record three times this season, will be aiming for another big height in qualifying for tomorrow’s final.
The action concludes with the final of the mixed 4 x 400m relay, and after winning bronze in Paris last summer, Great Britain will be hoping to get amongst the medals again.
