A kayaker has called a mayday after getting into trouble near the Farne Islands; although he is able to communicate his location via his VHF radio, his voice is faltering, and it’s a race against time for the Seahouses crew to find him.

In Crantock, north Cornwall, the lifeguards are alerted by a teenage boy that his uncle has been caught in a rip current at the north end of the beach. On the Gower peninsula, the Horton and Port Eynon crew are called out to three people caught out by the tide on Worm’s Head, a notorious headland that has claimed countless victims over the years.
