Dougie is in Lairg for the first of the annual autumn lamb sales. He joins the sales team as 13,000 lambs go through the auction ring, and he learns how this unique site is organised and run.

After Scotland’s biggest ever wildfire this summer, Shahbaz is in Moray to see the impact on moorland, peatland and forest habitats. Meanwhile, Arlene returns to the Borders, where she helps harvest the Landward field and finds out if the grain makes the grade for malting.

Entomologist Leanna Fernandez introduces us to the magical world of moths with a beginner's guide to spotting them, and we join Cammy on the farm as he finishes this year's shearing, before cutting his haylage crop for winter feed.
