Carly Pearce

Carly Pearce takes us on her 10-song journey in this week's Tracks of My Years.

Country music star Carly Pearce picks the songs that are the soundtrack to her life.

Born in Kentucky, Carly began performing professionally in her early teens. When she was sixteen, she auditioned for a performing part at Dollywood and convinced her parents to let her drop out of high school and move to Tennessee.

Just three years later, Carly headed to Nashville, home of country music, and released her debut single - Every Little Thing – independently. The song was a huge hit and went to No. 1 on Country Airplay.

Her duet with Lee Brice - I Hope You're Happy Now – followed, hitting the Country Airplay No. 1 spot again and winning the 2020 CMA Musical Event.

Everything Carly touched turned to gold – literally. Never Wanted To Be That Girl, with Ashley McBryde, was the first female duet to win a Grammy for Best Country Duo. And We Don't Fight Anymore, with Chris Stapleton earned Carly a second Grammy nod.

A lifelong fan of the Grand Ole Opry, Carly made her Opry debut in 2015 and was invited to join the Opry as a member by her idol, country music legend Dolly Parton.

Carly’s part of a star-studded line-up in 'Grand Ole Opry: Live In London’ at The Royal Albert Hall which is on Radio 2 on 2nd October.
