Paul Merton & Suki Webster
The giants of improvised comedy share their secrets to owning stages worldwide. Plus poetry from Wolverhampton's inspiring Kuli Kohli. With Phillip Stoneman.
We're celebrating the best creatives where we live, with Phillip Stoneman in for Nina Das Gupta, including:
• They're two giants of improvisation, sharing their secrets to owning stages around the world. Paul Merton and Suki Webster are in conversation, taking a deep dive in to the art of why audiences can't get enough of the wonderful world of unscripted comedy.
• He's the Birmingham comedian who's conquered the radio, conquered social media, but now faces his biggest challenge yet. Funnyman SmashBengali is on preparing for the biggest stage and the biggest show of his life, with a one hour special.
• With Halloween hurtling towards us, discover the festival in one of our most rural areas bringing the joys of edge-your-seat scares and spine-tingling screams to some of the screens you might not normally find them at.
• Celebrating National Poetry day with two incredible writers: The first, Stoke-on-Trent's centenary laureate, who says that writing was his escape after finding his dyslexia held him back from reading.
• And from Wolverhampton, the inspiring Kuli Kohli who says words have always been a bridge for her, coming over from India aged two. She's performed and taught around the world, but says it wasn't easy first sharing her work on stage.
• The Hereford filmmaker whose latest feature - a modern small-town neo-noir thriller - is officially out on the streamers, and Blu-Ray. He says he wants to shine the spotlight on British filmmaking, because it's not all about Bridgerton and posh high-end drama.
