Authors Graeme Macrae Burnet and Joseph Coelho, The List magazine at 40

Booker Prize-shortlisted author Graeme Macrae Burnet chats to Zara about his new novella, Benbecula.

Booker Prize-shortlisted author Graeme Macrae Burnet discusses Benbecula, the latest in the Darklands Tales series of books where Scottish authors reimagine moments from Scottish history, myth and legend for a modern audience. Graeme’s novella is based on the true story of the disturbing murders which befell a family living within the insular island community of Benbecula in the outer Hebrides in the mid-1800s.

Former children’s laureate Joseph Coelho chats about the latest book in his charming Luna Loves series of picture books for younger readers, ahead of his event at the Wigtown Book Festival in Dumfries and Galloway this weekend.

The List, Scotland’s biggest and longest-running guide to events, entertainment, films, theatre, music and all of Scotland’s rich cultural life, was founded 40 years ago this month.
