In Blackpool, it’s just after midnight when the crew receive reports of a man in the water. After finding him unresponsive, it’s vital to get him urgent medical attention.

On the south Devon coast, the Exmouth crew get a mayday call from a windsurfer with equipment failure, who is now drifting out to sea. In Scotland, on the southern shores of the Firth of Forth, the North Berwick crew face the complex extraction of an elderly casualty who has broken her leg on a remote beach.

In Weston-super-Mare, north Somerset, two fishermen cut off by the tide need rescuing from the town’s dilapidated old pier. And on the Thames, the Chiswick crew’s ‘dog whisperer’ is put to the test by a schnauzer that’s fallen onto the riverbank.
