Mark Forrest concludes his week of highlights from the Ryedale Festival in Yorkshire with performances from Radio 3 New Generation Artists tenor Santiago S谩nchez and flautist Elizaveta Ivanova. Elizaveta plays the flute arrangement of C茅sar Franck's much-loved romantic sonata for violin. And also in today's programme orchestral music from Benjamin Britten and his British contemporaries. Today, Ralph Vaughan-Williams's Fifth Symphony, written during the period of the Second World War, and a rare chance to hear William Walton's Sinfonia Concertante for piano and orchestra with pianist Clare Hammond and the 蜜芽传媒 Symphony Orchestra.
