Paula is on Tess's trail. As she locates the places where the young woman grew up, she begins to realise that Tess is probably not who she says she is and that she hasn't targeted the Martel family by chance.

Meanwhile, at home, Camille's unease is growing as Tess takes advantage of Paula's absence to try and consolidate her position in the family.

Paula's investigations lead her to uncovering Tess's backstory, and finally to her psychiatrist. But, just as elements of the wider picture start to emerge, baby Orso disappears...
