After days of negotiations, US president Donald Trump announced this week that Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of his peace plan for Gaza.
The first step expected on Monday would see the release of all 20 living Israeli hostages in exchange for around 250 Palestinian prisoners and 1,700 detainees from Gaza.
Increased amounts of aid will also enter the Strip. But will it be the start of a lasting peace. Audrey talks to Middle East negotiator and expert Oliver McTernan and to Israeli journalist Allison Kaplan Sommer.
