Pam Rhodes celebrates the 1700-year anniversary of the Nicene Creed and explores why this ancient declaration of beliefs is so important in the history of Christianity.

At the Coptic Orthodox Church Centre in Stevenage, Pam unpacks the background and impact of the Nicene Creed with three eminent archbishops: Anba Angaelos, archbishop of the Coptic Orthodox Church, Bernard Longley, the Roman Catholic archbishop of Birmingham, and former archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams. With each representing a very different branch of the Church, they explore why the creed is such a powerful symbol of Christian unity. Pam also discovers how the creed was crucial in saving Christianity from crisis so many centuries ago, before getting a personal take on what the Nicene Creed means to each of the archbishops.

Pam also explores with modern worship leader Tibz Adeniyi how hymns like All Things Bright and Beautiful can make the Nicene Creed’s deep biblical ideas easier to understand.
