Derry Good Baking and Bids!
From ferries to farls! Roo Irvine and David Harper hunt for antiques in Northern Ireland, gambling on glass and kitsch, and bake their way to the auction showdown.
Roo Irvine and David Harper kick off their road trip adventure aboard a ferry bound for Northern Ireland. Behind the wheel of their trusty green Mini Cooper, the pair set out to uncover the region’s finest antiques and hidden gems.
David gets his hands on a centuries-old piece of glass with strong local roots, while Roo embraces the bold with a garish pink find and some kitschy treasures, which she is convinced could still be money-spinners.
But it’s not all shopping. There is also time to explore a local culinary staple that sustained communities during the Great Famine. And in true hands-on fashion, our experts roll up their sleeves to help prepare a batch themselves.
With their finds shipped off to auction, it’s time to see who used their loaf best in the shops. Will either of them rise to the occasion, or will they be left with crumbs?
