The City of London comes alive with music and ceremony in history’s oldest, longest and least-rehearsed civic parade, all to welcome the new lady mayor. Expect the unexpected!
Seven thousand people turn out to welcome the City of London’s new lady mayor in this colourful and proudly unrehearsed parade, dating back to 1215.
Highlights include appearances by the hydroplane Bluebird K7 alongside the pearly kings and queens, honouring East End-born Dame Susan Langley as she takes on the City’s top job.
Katie Derham presents, while Tina Daheley catches up with participants on the ground.
