Episode 3
Dame Mary and kindred spirit Jamie Oliver cook up delicious family favourites, share memories while watching old footage of Mary, and have a very competitive table football match.
Mary is joined by her kindred spirit, the globally renowned chef Jamie Oliver. Both have a love of cooking simple and delicious family food, and so together they prepare some of Mary's family favourites.
Featuring the classic mushroom-stuffed watercraft chicken that she has been making for 30 years; an updated way to make lamb with a rich spiced tagine; a delectable prawn curry that makes the best of an ingredient that is far more accessible now than in the 1970s; and a favourite of Mary’s, the incredible lemon drizzle cake.
Between the recipes, Dame Mary and Jamie take a trip down memory lane with a look at Mary’s first time cooking lemon drizzle cake on TV for the nation, more than 50 years ago, before sneaking off to the pub to enjoy a heartfelt chat and a very competitive game of table football.
