It’s a first for Escape to the Country as Jules Hudson heads to the Isle of Man. He’s helping a retired nurse from Lincolnshire who has been holidaying on the island for over 70 years. So, the big question is, who is really showing whom around?
With a £275,000 budget, they explore charming homes and soak up the highlights, from the harbour town of Peel to the mighty Great Laxey Wheel. There’s even a trip on the Snaefell Mountain Railway to enjoy the breathtaking views from the top. Jules also meets an enthusiastic gardener who took the leap and moved to the island from the USA, despite never having heard of it before.
