Episode 3

The remaining celebrities in the first week of the competition must work in pairs to progress to the semi-finals, but only one member of each duo knows the recipe.

It’s quarter-final time, and this week’s remaining four celebrities return to do battle once more. They all want a place in the semi-finals, but only the best three will get there. Judges Grace Dent and John Torode will want to see progress, passion and even more plates of delicious food!

Nothing in life comes easy, and first up, it’s the pairs challenge. So far, they have cooked on their own, but can they work in pairs with their fellow celebs to deliver two plates of food that look and taste identical? It’s time to leave egos at the door, as communication will be key to their success. Especially as only one person from each team will have access to their recipe! The dishes tonight are sausages and mash, and chicken kyiv, which might sound easy, but in the celebs’ hands, anything can happen.

Next, it’s back to cooking solo as they take on one of the most notoriously feared challenges so far: whipping up their best two-course menu for three specially invited diners. They are former Celebrity MasterChef finalist Danny Jones and former champions Angellica Bell and Lisa Faulkner. This panel know their stuff and will be hoping for some miraculous plates of food. Let’s not forget, the celebs are cooking for a place in the semi-finals now, so this meal must be off the scale.

Taking their feedback on board, the judges will have the final decision as to which of the four celebs will earn some decent bragging rights and be able to call themselves semi-finalists, where they can expect even more thrills, and hopefully fewer spills, in the race to become this year’s Celebrity MasterChef champion.
